Santhana Gopalan is a Cost Accountant and practising Advocate. He has over 13 years of experience in field of indirect taxation, including over 9 years of experience in litigation. He represents clients before the Tribunals, High Courts and Regulatory Authorities, including Authority for Advance Ruling, Directorate General of Foreign Trade and Special Valuation Branch. He is well versed in litigation procedures and has handled several industry-wide tax disputes before various forums. He advises various clients on diverse aspects of Customs law (including Classification, Valuation, Duty Exemption & Deferment, Free Trade Agreements, etc.). He also provides advisory to clients on Foreign Trade Policy, Import & Export Compliances, SEZ related issues and allied laws. Being associated with LKS since 2016, Santhana Gopalan is currently part of the Customs practice and has also worked in the Central Excise, Service Tax Litigation and Sales Tax matters in the past.
