Divyashree Suri advises clients on economic sanctions & global export controls, free trade agreements, and market access barriers across jurisdictions.

Divyashree has notable experience in economic sanctions and global export control laws. She assists clients with building and implementing sanctions compliance programs and assessing sanctions risk exposure under various sanctions regimes including the U.S., the EU, the UK and the UN.

She has represented the Government of India in DS582/584/588 (India – Tariffs on ICT Goods (EU, Japan, Chinese Taipei)) before the World Trade Organization. She has represented the Government of India across several trade remedy and other trade regulatory investigations across jurisdictions, advised on negotiation of free trade agreements (FTA), and a range of customs and cross-border trade matters. She has also advised foreign governments on FTA negotiations.

She has represented foreign exporters, Indian manufacturers, importers, and governments in complex trade remedy and trade regulatory investigations across the United States, the European Union, Turkey, and India.

She routinely advises clients in the heavy machinery, automobile, steel and aluminium, chemicals, petrochemicals, textiles, and pharmaceuticals sectors.
