Jyoti Pal is a Partner in the Indirect Tax practice at Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan, bringing extensive experience in advising clients on complex indirect tax and regulatory matters.

 

She has developed deep expertise in Customs Law, Goods and Services Tax (GST), and the Foreign Trade Policy, and regularly assists clients in navigating the evolving regulatory landscape in India.

Her practice involves advising a diverse portfolio of clients, including leading automotive manufacturers, consumer electronics companies, FMCG players, and airlines. Jyoti provides strategic and operational guidance on a wide range of issues such as import and export regulations, customs valuation and classification, trade compliance, Legal Metrology requirements, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) regulations, and matters relating to Special Economic Zones (SEZs).

In addition to advisory work, Jyoti actively represents clients before various judicial and quasi-judicial forums. Her litigation experience includes appearances before the Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal (CESTAT), Commissioner (Appeals), the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), and other regulatory authorities. She is known for her practical approach, combining strong technical knowledge with a clear understanding of industry-specific challenges.
