
Gopal Machiraju is an Associate Partner in the firm, based in Mumbai and Hyderabad. He is dual-qualified as an Advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of India and as a Solicitor with the Bombay Incorporated Law Society.
Gopal advises clients on a wide spectrum of corporate and commercial matters, combining transactional expertise with strong regulatory and dispute management capabilities. His practice focuses on general corporate advisory, mergers and acquisitions, securities laws, exchange control regulations and insolvency-related matters.
Gopal regularly assists domestic and international clients with structuring and implementing complex corporate transactions including mergers and reconstructions, investments and acquisitions, and business transfers while ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks.
Gopal has significant experience in strategically advising, drafting and negotiating a wide range of corporate documents, including acquisition agreements, shareholders’ agreements, joint venture agreements, schemes, resolution plans, business and asset transfer agreements etc.
He also advises clients on corporate governance, regulatory compliance and business model structuring, with particular focus on listed entities.
In addition to transactional and advisory solutions, Gopal provides strategic counsel on commercial disputes and pre-litigation strategy, assisting clients in resolving disputes through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and litigation.
He regularly appears before various courts and tribunals in India in matters involving corporate and commercial issues.
He is also a consulting lawyer within the firm for taking positions in complex tax and IPR matters.
His sectoral experience spans multiple industries including manufacturing, technology, financial services, infrastructure and consumer goods.
He is also a visiting professor of company law at NALSAR University of Law.
