The Update covers a recent adoption of the 21st package of sanctions by the European Union against Russia.
48 individuals, and 170 entities have been targeted, totaling 218 total listings. These measures range from asset freezes, travel bans, and transaction bans. Entities and individuals from various countries including Georgia, Panama, the UAE, the Marshall Islands, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, China, India, Kazakhstan, and Turkey have been sanctioned.
According to the LKS Sanctions Team, non-EU companies with EU customers, suppliers, financial institutions, or operations should carefully assess their counterparties, supply chains, and transactions to ensure they are not exposed to newly sanctioned parties or activities that could be viewed as facilitating sanctions evasion.
