Utilising Free Trade Agreements to Grow Export Opportunities
Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) are international agreements which intend to liberalize trade in goods and services among the countries that are part of such FTAs. With a view to boosting exports from India, the Government of India has set its ambition to conclude FTAs with countries in the West. Having concluded interim FTAs with Australia and the UAE in the recent past, the Government of India is currently negotiating FTAs with countries/group of countries such as the European Union, the United Kingdom, Israel, Canada, and the Eurasian Economic Union.
To disseminate knowledge on FTAs to members of the textile and apparel industry, CITI is partnering with the specialists in customs and international trade from the law firm Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan to host a series of 1-hour webinars on basic and advanced topics on FTAs.
