In brief

Most enterprises no longer ask whether to use artificial intelligence. They ask how to do it without acquiring a liability they did not price. The technology arrives wrapped in promises of efficiency and insight.

Most enterprises no longer ask whether to use artificial intelligence. They ask how to do it without acquiring a liability they did not price. The technology arrives wrapped in promises of efficiency and insight, but the hard part was never the model. It is the strategy that decides where the model is pointed, the risk framework that decides what it is allowed to touch, and the governance that decides who answers for it when it is wrong. All of this now has to be built on ground that is still moving, as data-protection law, sectoral regulation, and the first dedicated AI statutes settle into place across India and abroad.

This series is written for the people who carry that responsibility: General Counsels, CFOs, and the boards they report to. It works through the decisions in the order they tend to arrive, from the first implementation choices to the day-to-day policy that governs how employees actually use these tools.
